2007 NAFA
Open World Series
July 27-29
Bowling Green
Recreation Complex, Middleton, Wisconsin

2007 marks the first time
NAFA has held a stand-alone "Open" level event.
In 2003, 2005 and 2006, NAFA
held an "Open" classification event as part of the traditional NAFA
World Series.
Now in 2007, with the help of
Rod Peterson and Dave LeBlanc of The Farm Tavern, NAFA brings 12
top-flight teams to Middleton for the NAFA Open World Series.
The first NAFA "Open"
Champion was crowned in 2003 at the NAFA World Series in Chippewa
Falls and Eau Claire, Wisconsin. With games being played at
Eau Claire's Carson Park, the Kegel Black Knights walked away as the
inaugural NAFA "Open" World Champions.
Two years later, NAFA resumed
play in the "Open" division in North Mankato, Minnesota. In
the final, Kegel squared off against Fargo-rival MinnDak Millers
(known then as the Imaging Solutions Knights). MinnDak came
away victorious in that contest.
Last year in Kimberly,
Wisconsin, Circle Tap and Townline were set to do battle in the
"Open" division final before rain forced the game to be cancelled
after only three innings of play.
